Guidelines for submitting articles to the LANDviews online journal

We are always looking for new and exciting projects, information, and dialogue to post on our website. In order to make this process as efficient and accurate as possible, here are some guidelines for your submission.

Please submit a brief abstract of your article to submissions@landviews.org. We will review your abstract and contact you directly about further options. If your proposal is accepted, please follow the guidelines below in submitting your article. Incomplete submissions will not be accepted. The editors of LAND may take the liberty of making minor deletions or corrections if necessary, without contacting the contributor. However, we ask that you submit your article finished and ready to go!

  1. Article length: between 500 and 1000 words. Please include a title.
  2. Images: 3-6 images. Each image should be accompanied by a caption including, title, location, date and if applicable, photo credit(s). If you are familiar with formatting images for the web, please size images to 340 pixels wide and save as JPEG format (panoramic photos may be sized to 690 pixels wide). Otherwise we will be happy to process your high-res image files into the appropriate format. Please note that our server will not accept email attachments over 10MB in size. You may send multiple messages with separate attachments, if necessary, but make sure that each one is properly identified. If you have any questions, please contact our webmaster.
  3. Artist/designer’s biography: approximately 100 words.
  4. Writer’s biography (if other than artist/designer), same as above.
  5. Contact information should be included as you would like it presented, e.g. email, website, mailing address, etc. We will include these items at the end of your text.
  6. Send text & images via email to submissions@landviews.org

We look forward to your contribution!
