LAND is developing a joint study program to include internships and independent studies with the New York University Gallatin School of Individualized Study Interdisciplinary Arts Program.
Their curriculum includes courses in the sociology and politics of the arts, arts management, cultural policy, gender and performance, performance history, drama, and aesthetics, as well as workshops in the performing, literary, and visual arts. The program is based on the artist-scholar/scholar-artist philosophy of education and integrates academic inquiry with direct experience in creative expression.
Although the joint study program is still being developed, eco-artists interested in working with a Gallatin intern or independent study student are encouraged to submit project descriptions to LAND at: info@landviews.org.
